Parenting Simply: Starting the Conversation


I’ve been thinking a lot about new beginnings lately. Maybe it’s all of the change that Fall brings, or the way the cooler, darker weather invites introspection, but I’ve been thinking about what families need in order to have a fresh start.

Whenever I bring together a new Simplicity Parenting Group as I did recently at Meadowbrook Waldorf School, the first conversation we have is always about Values. As the springtime sun is shining, warming up the ground and helping plant life bloom all around us, it is so much fun to connect with the season by planting something of your own and watching it grow!

Parenting Simply: Pinecone Soup


Sometimes as parents, we are granted wonderful moments of true clarity. For me, one such moment came after an afternoon walk with my daughters. Our walk led to the discovery of an abundant supply of tiny pinecones at the end of our street, which immediately needed to be gathered, stowed in the back of a tricycle, and brought home to make pinecone soup....read more at Kidoinfo.
